Around 90 plant employees took an active part in the environmental initiative, contributing to the
Clean-up of the local environment.
The environmental event was organised at three key locations within the plant’s external grounds. Specifically, work carried out in the area of the cold and hot channels of the Atyrau CHP, on the side of the settlement of Peretaska, as well as along the drainage channel of the Atyrau CHP near the Karaganda Factory of Rubber Products and the UG-157/9 facility. In addition, a community clean-up day and a ‘Clean Thursday’ campaign were organised simultaneously within the plant’s sanitary zone.
During the clean-up operation, 175 bags of household and other waste collected and transported to designated disposal sites. The main aim of the initiative was to clear water sources and riverbanks of household waste, as well as to foster a culture of environmental stewardship among staff and enhance their environmental responsibility.
The Atyrau Oil Refinery consistently supports initiatives aimed at protecting the environment and enhancing environmental responsibility. The company’s staff are convinced that an environmental culture develops through concrete actions. Therefore, the refinery will continue actively participating in campaigns aimed at protecting nature and improving the environmental situation in the region.
